OVERALL FEEL
Suburban and Small Town Vibe
Littleton
Littleton is a personal favorite of mine for many reasons. Like many other places in Denver that are “hot” right now, Littleton has the 1,2, 3 combo of Main Street, Mountains/River and Location. The South Platte River meanders through the town and provides immediate access to trails and scenic views. The Main Street is seeing a revival with cute shopping boutiques, and restaurants. Add in views of the mountains and close access to both Downtown and DTC, and Littleton is a wonderful spot to live.
Because Littleton is an older neighborhood, established 1872, there are still cute small single-family homes with large lots, alongside newer duplexes and modern living options. This creates a fun eclectic feel for housing, as well as neighborhood appeal.
The city of Littleton, similar to Golden, has a jam-packed calendar of community events for both tourists and residents. You can enjoy Al Fresco dining along main street, bike rides, concerts and farmers markets on the weekends. Craft wineries, distilleries and breweries are popping up, including the very impressive “Farm House” Breckenridge Brewery with it’s own amphitheater and summer music series. Don’t miss the smaller breweries such as Locavore, and cute Wineries like Carboy, both local favorites. With such a wide array of options, there’s no reason to ever be bored living in Littleton.
Littleton is part of the South Suburban Parks and Rec District, which has award-winning facilities for organized sports, fitness, classes and more. So, no matter where you live in Littleton, you’ll have easy access to great fitness, education and arts classes.
Although most of this overview focuses around the Historic main street of Littleton, the City itself spans across 3 different Counties, Adams, Arapahoe and Denver. So there is a huge variety of housing opportunities that will still put you close to the action, regardless of your budget.
