Suburban Living With Convenience and Community Center

Arvada

Arvada is located Northwest of Denver and includes 40 square miles of suburban housing, shopping centers and a historic Olde Town district. Olde Town Arvada is the cultural and historic center of the City offering 2 dozen dining options, numerous boutiques and shops in an Americana atmosphere. Olde Town was the first site of the gold strike in Colorado, and originally a railroad stop in the late 1800’s. Today, residents are able to take the more modern and recently completed G Line Lightrail train between Wheat Ridge and Union Station in Downtown Denver.

What I like about Arvada is that you are still conveniently situated close to the mountains, but not too far from downtown Denver. While this convenience might result in a slightly higher price per square foot, those looking for larger homes with a spacious backyard, and a reasonable commute will find Arvada as a great option. The other location bonus is that in some parts of Arvada you are almost equidistant between Denver, Golden and Boulder. So, if you find yourself working or traveling to these areas, but still want a larger, more affordable home, Arvada should be high on your list.

Along with affordability and great proximity, Arvada has highly ranked schools, wonderful parks and Rec Centers such as the Apex Center. Another outdoor recreation hotspots is Standley Lake (technically in Westminster but borders northside of Arvada) for wakeboarding, boating and trails. Many of the neighborhoods connect to the Ralston Creek Trail which is great for walking dogs, biking or just unwinding after work.

The impressive inventory of larger homes with big yards is appealing to families. However, Arvada also has a diverse inventory of condo complexes and townhomes which attracts many first time home buyers or those looking to downsize.

Whether you’re looking for a cute historic bungalow in Olde Town, a large family home or a convenient condo, Arvada offers many great options for everyone.
