Evergreen

Most people who live in Evergreen believe it offers the best of both worlds. You get the sense of mountain living, but still have all the conveniences of a small town. Tucked away in the Foothills just outside Denver (approx. 30-40 minutes), Evergreen is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city to give residents tranquil mountain living, without being too isolated.

There are two distinct areas of Evergreen, North Evergreen, which is closer to I-70, as well as some newer shopping centers and housing developments. This part of town cuts off a minimum of 15 minutes from your commute to Denver, and gives you the head start to accessing the Mountain resort towns for skiing in the winter. If you’re commuting each day to Denver and like to be closer to the mountains during ski season, North Evergreen is a fantastic choice of location.

South Evergreen has a quaint main street with good restaurants, boutiques, bars, live music, along Bear Creek. What more can you ask for? In addition you have access to Evergreen Lake, the center of community activities, such as ice skating in the winter and sailing and SUP’ing in the summer. The Lake has a beautiful community center and public golf course as well, serving an active and vibrant
community year round.

For the outdoor enthusiast, Evergreen is surrounded by hundreds of acres of open space with a network of multi-use trails for hiking, biking and horseback. For families, there are highly ranked public schools in Evergreen as well.

For all these reasons above, Evergreen home prices and demand are high. However, the residents of Evergreen feel it’s well worth the extra cost and commute, being a part of a small mountain community just outside of Denver.
